Health Information & Medical Records
Health information shared during consultation is handled as confidential clinical information. Your psychiatrist may create medical records, prescription records, consent notes, referral notes, and follow-up plans as part of care.
Medical advice, diagnosis, prescriptions, and clinical records are handled according to professional medical obligations and applicable law. Access is limited to authorised clinicians and operational staff who need it for care delivery, support, safety, legal compliance, or record maintenance.
Consent & Control
Certain activities require explicit consent, including telemedicine consultation, prescription transmission to a pharmacy or provider, recording of any consultation, representative consultations, and teletherapy sessions.
You may withdraw consent for telemedicine or optional processing at any time. Withdrawal may limit our ability to provide online services, but it does not affect your right to future in-person care or access to records as permitted by law.
Covert recording of consultations is not permitted. Any audio or video recording requires prior explicit consent from all parties.
Sharing & Disclosure
We may share information with:
- Licensed psychiatrists and authorised clinical staff involved in your care.
- Service providers who help us operate booking, video consultation, payment, messaging, hosting, security, analytics, and customer support systems.
- Pharmacies or healthcare providers only when prescription transmission or referral is requested, legally permitted, and consented to.
- Parents, legal guardians, nominated representatives, or emergency contacts where consent, law, or patient safety requires it.
- Government authorities, courts, regulators, police, or emergency services when required by law or necessary to protect life, safety, or legal rights.
We require service providers to handle information only for authorised purposes and with appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information and health information. These may include:
- Role-based access to patient and consultation records.
- Encryption or secure transmission practices for sensitive data wherever supported by platform systems.
- Access logging, monitoring, and internal review for misuse or unauthorised access.
- Limited access for staff and service providers based on operational need.
- Administrative, technical, and contractual safeguards for vendors handling sensitive information.
No online system can be guaranteed fully secure. You are responsible for keeping your device, email, phone, and account access secure.
Cookies & Analytics
We may use cookies, local storage, log files, and similar technologies to keep the website functional, improve performance, remember preferences, identify technical errors, and understand aggregate usage patterns.
You can usually control cookies through browser settings. Some site features may not work correctly if necessary cookies or storage are disabled.
Children & Guardians
Minors may use the platform only with appropriate parent or legal guardian involvement and consent. Children under 16 years must be accompanied during consultation by a parent or legal guardian whose identity and relationship with the child can be verified.
We may collect guardian information, consent records, and relationship verification details where required for lawful and ethical care.
Emergency & Legal Duties
If a psychiatrist assesses immediate risk during consultation, or if law requires disclosure, information may be shared with emergency services, police, a nominated representative, a parent or guardian, a hospital, a court, or another appropriate authority. Mandatory reporting may apply in child safety situations and other circumstances required by law.
Retention
We retain personal information and medical records for as long as needed to provide services, comply with medical and legal recordkeeping duties, resolve disputes, process payments, prevent fraud, and maintain safety and audit records.
Where deletion is requested, we will assess whether retention remains necessary under applicable law, medical ethics, safety requirements, or legitimate dispute-resolution needs.
Your Rights
Subject to identity verification and applicable law, you may:
- Request access to your personal information and medical records, subject to identity verification and applicable law.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Withdraw consent for optional processing, where withdrawal is legally and clinically possible.
- Request deletion or closure of your account where retention is not required by law, medical ethics, safety, or dispute resolution.
- Raise privacy concerns, complaints, or data access requests through the contact details on this page.
We may need additional information to verify your identity before acting on privacy or medical record requests.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law, platform features, clinical workflows, or security practices. When material changes are made, we will update the Last Updated date and provide reasonable notice through the platform or registered contact details where required.
Continued use of the platform after an updated Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the revised privacy practices.
